Front Range poll lists drought views

A poll commissioned by Green Industries of Colorado indicated that 81 percent of Front Range homeowners see the drought as a "major problem," including 51 percent who think it is the most important issue facing the state.

As for solutions to water shortages, 57 percent said conservation, 53 percent said control growth and 48 percent said build more water storage. Eighty-nine percent said restrictions should be as strictly enforced on hotels, restaurants, car washes, manufacturers and other businesses as homes.

National Research Center of Boulder surveyed 600 homeowners over three weeks. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
